As a Junior Data Engineer/Data Scientist you will be part of the technology team. A team of professionals with different backgrounds, who translate complex data into actionable insights. They help our organization make more data-driven decisions, contributing to its commercial goals. You will create methods, models and algorithms to improve customer communication and our approach to debtors.

More specifically you are involved in projects around customer segmentation, customer acceptance, predictive modelling in our business and improving the overall data infrastructure.

Bierens is expanding rapidly and the trick is to work more intelligent. We receive many thousands of requests per year, which results in at least 1500 new customers per year from all over the world. With your help we make the right choices in process optimization so that customer satisfaction improves even more.

On the business side our data is worth gold. Bierens is the largest player in the B2B collections domain. In the field of predictive modeling we have already run the first experiments. It is up to you to scale up this operation.

In addition:

- you have 0-2 years of work experience in a similar position;

- You have experience with Data Science techniques, such as Machine Learning, NLP, BI, Visualization, et cetera;

- You are proficient in SQL, R and/or Python. Experience with or knowledge of CRM, AI and Machine Learning is a plus;

- you are eager to learn and ambitious;

- You are independent when it comes to technology;

- You speak and understand English. Dutch is a huge asset.
